Jay O. Sanders has been playing Shakespeare his whole career, including Falstaff, Titus Andronicus, Bottom, Macbeth, Petruchio, Sir Toby Belch, Caliban, Philip the Bastard, Marc Antony in Julius Caesar, Kent in King Lear, and the Ghost, Player King, & Grave Digger in Hamlet. 

Starting in 2010, he collaborated with his wife, Maryann Plunkett, and Playwright/Director Richard Nelson on The Apple Family (including three Zoom plays), The Gabriels, and The Michaels (12 new plays in 12 years). 

Sanders recently played the title roles in Uncle Vanya for the Hunter Theater Project and Cyrano de Bergerac at the Guthrie Theater, and Nick Laine in Girl From The North Country on Broadway. He has appeared in countless films and television projects, and has narrated a wide array of documentaries, mostly for PBS.
