JoNell Kennedy trained at Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of The Arts. This New Orleans native is a veteran actor having begun her professional journey in Chicago on The Goodman, Victory Gardens, Steppenwolf and  Court Theatre stages—to name a few. 
She is currently based in Los Angeles where she has continued her work in television/film appearing on  Grey’s Anatomy, 911, Chicago Fire, The Ms. Pat Show,  FBI, Dreamgirls, and the indie cult favorite Me, You And Everyone We Know.   Her voiceover artistry is featured in The Webby Award winning narrative podcast ALL THINGS UNDONE, and she is experiencing a full circle moment voicing various New Orleanians, namely, The Voodoo Queen— Marie Laveau on the Dreamworks Animated series Fright Krewe streaming on HULU and Peacock.
