Tramell Tillman

Tramell Tillman has graced the screen and stage for over 20 years. 

Viewers can catch Tramell playing alongside Academy Award winner Forrest Whitaker on the grizzly Epix series Godfather of Harlem. 

Managing a cozy Brooklyn coffee shop in the critically acclaimed AMC series Dietland and solving a stirring mystery in Amazon’s shocking thriller “Hunters” starring Al Pacino. 

In 2019 Tillman made his Broadway debut at Lincoln Center with a star-studded cast of the epic new play The Great Society. 

Previously he stepped in the shoes of “Sgt. Brown” in the award-winning opera revival of Carmen Jones starring Anika Noni Rose and originating the role of “Chris” in the Pulitzer Prize winning international hit play Sweat by Lynn Nottage.This graduate of the University of Tennessee MFA Acting program is no stranger to the classics. 

He took on the role of Laertes in a production of Hamlet at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and performed in several staged readings of Play On. 
Tramell Tillman will star in Apple TV’s new drama series Severance starring Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, John Turturro, and Britt Lower, with director and executive producer Ben Stiller at the helm.

In his spare time Tillman works in local communities supporting causes of arts advocacy, mental health awareness, LGBTQ rights, and causes focusing on BIPOC communities He is a singer, dancer, activist, philanthropist; but most of all he is an artist committed to giving voice to the voiceless. 

He believes in the transformative power of the arts. 

In his opinion it’s one of the purest channels into preserving and enhancing all of humanity.
